Calving season 2010 has begun! The first calf was born to a heifer 14 days early and she missed the worst winter storm we've had at Christmas in a lot of years! We are glad to have the heifers calving now, although it is very muddy. But we have bred them to low birth weight, calving ease bulls, so we decided to leave them out on the pasture where the mud will not be a problem for their calves. We still can't help but check them every few hours, but so far, so great. We have about 10 heifers that have calved with no assistance and they are doing well.

Once again, we have about 45 spring yearling bulls that we are growing for sale this spring. We plan to have information posted on them on our bull page the first week in March. Call if you would like to visit about them, or come see them for yourself. We are really enjoying selling our bulls by private treaty, so don't hesitate to call!

Also, we have about 40 fall heifers that will be bred and available for sale in March, and we are working on putting together a great set of spring heifers to breed and develop throughout the summer for sale in the fall. If you would like to discuss our heifer development program, just call!
